Current Lunch Date View

For whatever reason, Matt has been extremely busy at work lately.  This is how we spent our lunch together last week.  This has become our new normal.  It stinks!  He gets to work at 7am, after dropping Ethan off at Seminary.  He "usually" gets a lunch break, and comes home around 6:30-7pm.   Yuck. Since January, Matt has worked 250 hours of overtime.  Unfortunately he is not compensated for overtime.  No money, no time compensation.  Grrrrr.

Cell Project - Ashton

Ashton had a big project due last week.  He had to make a 3-D cell, either animal or plant. He chose animal.  Believe it or not, it was pretty painless to put together.  The photo taking seemed to be more painful for Ashton haha.  He received a perfect score.  Woot Woot!!

McConnell Springs Photo Shoot

Today in between running errands we decided to go to McConnell Springs in Lexington and visit their Irish Festival.  Ryan needed to go to an International Festival for part of his Citizenship in the World Merit Badge requirements.  The festival was horrible, but we enjoyed taking pictures on some of the fun landscapes this place has to offer.

Matt was showing the kids how to click their heels in the air.  Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to grab a good picture of this.

Anyone need a pet sitter?

This year for Spring Break we stayed home due to Ryan having a dog-sitting gig.  He watched a neighbor's dog for a little over a week.  Ryan will never have an animal while living at home, so this was an opportunity for him to get some of his animal fix.  He will grow up to own 1,0000 animals if he could.  Grosses me out.

He did such a great job taking care of "Bo".  Bo is a very old dog.  At first Ryan had a hard time getting him to come out of his crate to go outside.  By mid-week, Bo would run out.  Ryan took him on several walks and had a lot of fun.  He made good money too!

Ryan sent me this selfie during one of his dog walks.  Cracked me up!

Old Friends Farm

This week the kids are on Spring Break.  The one thing Ryan really wanted to do was visit Old Friends Farm.  It is a facility for retired thoroughbred racehorses.  We have visited this place several times.  It is truly Ryan's "happy place".  Brinley and I enjoy it as well.
