Today I took the kids to see The Muppets.  It was fair.  I was expecting better.  I thought it took a while to "kick in".  However I only spent $3.75 for all 5 of us to see it, so no big woop.

Here are the deets on Lexington Green 8 Movie Theater (located by the Target by Mall)

Mondays - $0.75 all day/all movies
Tuesdays - $1.00
Wednesdays - $1.50
Thursdays - $1.50
Fridays/Saturday AFTER 6pm $2.00

If you desire to see movie in 3D (don't do it!!!) add $2/ticket

YOU CANNOT BEAT THIS PLACE!!!  It is a clean theater and all you have to do is wait about 2-3 months to see the movie.  A price I definitely can pay!!

Sweet Sixteen!

We are a perfect 16/16 in free lunch attendance this year! My kids think it is the greatest to be able to go. I think it is pretty great too. No lunch to prepare and no lunch to clean up! Can't get much better than that!

Got Change?

Yesterday I took my sweaty kids to Sonic for a nice refreshing slush. Between the hours of 2-4pm they are 1/2 price. So I ordered 3 slushes and 4 waters for a grand total of $1.59! I was able to scrape that up from my ashtray and away we went.

Kids Eat Free!

My mom called me today with this news. At Denny's kids (10 and under) eat free on Tuesday nights from 4-10pm and some locations on Saturday nights too. You can get 2 kids meals free with the purchase of 1 adult regular priced meal. Go check it out!

Free Lunch Menu

Just another reminder about the free lunches here in Scott County. It is for any child 19 years or younger. The cost for adults is $4/each. The schools participating are Garth Elementary, Southern Elementary and Georgetown Middle School. Lunch is served from 11am-1pm. We have gone each day this week to Garth Elementary and have had a very good experience. Come join in the fun!

Friday June 5, 2009 you can take your family down to Jacobson Park for Free Friday Flicks. Activities such as face painting, pony rides, petting zoo and other entertainment start at 7:00pm. Movie starts at dark. There is a concession stand available or bring your own snacks. This week's movie is “The Tale of Despereaux.”

Saturday June, 6 2009 Kentucky Horse Park is holding it's annual Family fun Fest. Children 12 and under are free with paid adult admission which is $15. There will be activities for both kids and adults.

We Went . . . and Ryan Scored!

We ended up going to the Legends game last night since we had to return library books to the library close to Applebee's Park. We got in for $5 total (Brinley was FREE), parking was $3 and the kids ate for FREE. Matt got 2 foul balls (one for Ashton, one for Ethan) and Ryan schmoozed his way into getting 3 balls given to him by the ball players. It was a very fun and super inexpensive evening out with the kids!

Redbox Free Monday Code

Redbox used to give a free movie code each Monday. They have revised it and now it is only on the 1st Monday of the month.

Summer is Comin'

Ryan brought home a handout today with fun, free activities to do in Georgetown this summer.

The Scott County Library provides many summer activities including book readings, and arts and crafts projects for all ages. To find out more you can call the library at 502-863-3566 or go to their website www.scottpublib.org

The Theaters of Georgetown offers free movies all summer long - each Wednesday at 10am and again at 11am. After the movie they have a drawing for prizes. For more information contact the theater at 502-863-0055. The movie schedule is as follows:
