Who's Gonna Win?

Last night Ryan asked Matt and I if we wanted the LA Kings to win or the Vancouver Canuckles. I let him know this morning that the Canuckles were the winners!

Let's Go!

This morning Brinley asked if we could go to Yellowstone and see the hippalos. I said "sure!"

Here is a photo in case you don't know what a hippalo is . . .

Day of Service 2010

For the past few days our family has participated in the "Day(s) of Service - 2010" . . . First we had the boys put 225 bags/flyers around the neighborhood. They did this Thurs/Fri. Today we hooked up with another family in the neighborhood (who had also put out bags - 150+) and gathered all the donations. All the kids (ages 3 to 12) did AWESOME! Look at some of the pictures from today's events HERE.

Teacher, Teacher!

Today as I was going thru Ethan's school folder one paper stood out. It was an assignment from earlier this week when he had to write out sentences using 7 of his spelling words. He is pretty good about figuring out a sentence using the assigned words all by himself. Sometimes I read them, sometimes I do not. This week I did not. So, today I saw the assignment along with the grade and the teacher comments. I was impressed with his teacher and today's comment. She's a keeper! (Please excuse his less than stellar handwriting)

Here is his homework. Sentence #5 reads, Mrs. Moore, is school ending soon?

Here is her reply . . .

Another Day, Another "A"

Today was the 3rd term Honor Roll Assembly at the school. They recognize all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who received all A's or all A's & B's during this 3rd term. Ethan was on the all "A" Honor Roll again. He has been on it every time. He is a very good student who enjoys learning. Lucky for him, school is quite easy.

Here is a picture from today of the kids in his class who were on the all "A"! Congrats kids!

K-I-S-S-NINE-&-T

Tonight at dinner we were asking the kiddos what the best part of their school day was. We then asked about lunchtime and what was their favorite part of their meal. Then Ashton (7) told us about how they were singing during lunch ...

"Kumari and Maxwell sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-9-&-T . . . "

Matt and I were laughing and we asked him what they were doing in the tree? His reply was, "ummmmm, swinging?"

My favorite nephew . . .

. . . on the Niederhauser side, of course!

Kentucky Fun!

Today we decided to venture over to Frankfort, KY to check out the Old State Capital Building. After visiting that, we walked thru a fun hotel with great fountains. The kids were in water feature paradise. From the hotel we walked across the street over to the Kentucky River. The kids were on the hunt for a playground which ended up being non-existent! Boo!

After a small jaunt back to the truck we headed over to the current State Capital Building where we played hide and go seek.

I went a little OCD on the pics, but it was sooo pretty today I couldn't stop taking pictures. However, I only had my camera phone with me which had a huge smudge on the lense that I didn't realize. Enjoy the pictures anyhow, k?
