Happy Halloween - almost! In Georgetown, the trick or treating was scheduled (yes, you read that right) for Saturday, October 30th from 5-8pm. That made it very nice to avoid the Sunday trick or treaters. The kids were very excited for their 4th installment of candy getting . . . this time in the good ol' neighborhood. We invited some friends over and the kids all had a good time colleting their loot! Ethan was an Army Man, Ryan a dragon, Brinley a Baker and Ashton a Vampire.

Downtown Treating
Today after school I decided to take the kids trick or treating in downtown Georgetown. They go up and down the main drag and go inside the little shops for their "treat". This has become our family tradition for the last 4 years. Even though I was SICK AS A DOG, I did it anyway. It was very fun and we saw many friends along the way. Ethan was an old man, Brinley a witch, Ashton a vampire and Ryan a pony.
Like usual, Ashton is distracted! Newspaper stands are his latest obsession. LOL

The Streak Continues
Today was the Honor Roll Assembly at Eastern Elementary. I was invited to attend since Ethan was on the all "A" honor roll again. Yay! It is nice that he does so well in school.
Too bad I couldn't go since I got FOOD POISONING from the Trunk or Treat and felt like death!

Trunk-or-Treat
Tonight was our Ward Trunk or Treat. Most of the focus was on the chili cook off (that gave me food poisoning, thank you very much) but the kids got to get some candy at the end of the night - so all is good. Here are a couple pictures . . . enjoy!
Ryan was a pirate again and Ashton was Dracula.

It's great to be FOUR!
Today is Brinley's 4th Birthday! Hooray to be 4!! She started her day off at McDonald's with a much anticipated Cinnamon Melt. Yum!
While there, she asked . . . "is this place just for old grandpa's? I don't know where she came up with that, haha!
We then headed out shopping to find a "birthday girl" shirt to buy with money from Grandma in St. Louis. We successfully found a Birthday Dress!!!
She was happily singing into her new microphone (from Ashton) while waiting for the school bus to pick her up . . .
But the bus never came ... School was cancelled because they had no power. Boo to not getting to show off new birthday dress to class and teacher.
So instead we played with brother at home.
When dad came home she got to open presents. A Lib Lib (Liv) doll from Luke and Sondra. Something she has wanted forEVER!
(okay, I should have taken a photo of the Liv doll (Hayden) with her wig on.)
She loved the HUGE horse she got with Grandma and Grandpa in Florida's birthday money
A Hippo Webkin from Ethan . . .
A cupcake baking set from Grandma in St. Louis . . .
And a few more gifts and cards from family. Thanks to all for helping Brinley have such a fun 4th birthday. She also enjoyed the birthday wishes via Facebook!!

Kentucky Horse Park Treatin'
Late this afternoon we headed over to the Kentucky Horse Park Campground for a fun time of trick or treating. We found about this event with very little notice, so the costumes were not perfected . . . yet! We walked all around the campground, enjoyed the perfect 80 degree temperature and had a fun time together as a family.
There will be a separate blog post just about Ashton's costume FYI!!

Bi-Water Good Times
Today Toyota Tsusho America (Matt's employer) hosted a Family Event at Bi-Water Farms. This is a locally owned pumpkin patch. The company paid for 2 adults/2 kids to enter for free plus a $5 food voucher per person. Lucky for us, a fellow co-worker gave us his unused entrance passes and food vouchers. We walked in for FREE and had lunch for FREE. We actually got a quarter back after paying for our meal. Can I get a WooHoo???
The kids had a super time. There was a spook house, corn maze, hay ride, petting zoo, giant slide, and much, much, much, much more. It helped that the weather was perfect!!! Now there is NO WAY on EARTH that I would pay the admittance price of $8.75 per person, but for FREE, it was delightful!
Here are some pictures of the fun time!
And one of the funniest parts of this place was the duck slide/contraption. We were hypnotized for a while watching these cute critters. Here is a video showing their cuteness ...

Grand Family Day at Eastern Elementary
Today started "Grand Family Week" at Eastern Elementary. They invite families (mainly grandparents) to attend Breakfast/Lunch with their student. Since we have never been for breakfast before, Brinley and I decided to meet up with Ryan for breakfast.

| Later Ryan returned home with his "fire dog ears" and treasured pinecone he found during recess. |
| Little sister wanted in on the action too! |
