Here are a few pictures of the kids before they ventured off to trick or treat. Ethan was an old man, Ashton a vampire, Brinley was Jasmine and Ryan was also a vampire. This year we had a few more families walk around the neighborhood with is. The weather was perfect - the kids had a ball!

Halloween or "Fall" at School
Today the boys had their class party at school. Ethan and Ryan's classes had a halloween party, but Ashton's class had a fall party. Gone are the days when the odd man out has to go sit in the library and read books during the party - instead the entire rest of the class gets to conform to their beliefs (or lack thereof). If you can't tell I think the new system is bogus!
This year I was able to help more than usual. Since all the kids are in school for a major part of my day I had some time to prepare some fun games. I provided 3 different bingo games to 6 different classes, provided a pumpkin "roll the dice" game to 6 different classes and tried my best to be in 3 classes at the same time! Since the party was on a Friday I was able to bring Brinley along for the fun.
The first few pictures are of the kids before they left for school Ethan is an old man and Ryan is a hot dog. No idea where Ashton was at the time. He was a motorcycle rider . . .

Here are pictures of Ethan's party festivities . . . his class did fun experiments with dry ice, played a few games and had yummy treats!

Next up is Ashton's party . . . They painted pumpkins, play a few games and had yummy treats. Ashton isn't a fan of getting his picture taken.
Last but not least is Mr. Party Animal himself, Ryan! He was lovin life at his party. They did a fun toilet paper mummy contest, played many games and had fun foods.

I didn't get any good alone shots of Brinley, but she wore a flapper outfit that I wore in 1st grade. She was a doll!

Haircut anyone?
After the pumpkin carving event we came home and started on Ethan's halloween costume. He wanted to be an old man again but he didn't like the itchiness of the wig. Last year we tried to talk him into shaving part of his hair off, but he was completely against the idea. This year he decided that was the way to go. So off it went (at least half of it!)
Pumpkin Carving Family Fun
Tonight we went to the school for a PTA Pumpkin Carving activity. It was such a great free family activity. They had a large trailer full of good sized pumpkins. You could take as many as you wanted. Once you picked out your pumpkins you went to the cafeteria where they had plastic tableclothes on all the tables. That is when the fun began! Each child went to town on their pumpkin - Ethan being the only one who did it completely by himself. They all turned out great and the best part was there was no clean up at home!! Thank you Eastern Elementary PTA!!

Political Smalitical
If any of my readers want to know how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mitt Romney's and my religion) responded to the current political statements calling Mormons a "cult" and "non-christians" . . . . well here you go:
"We decline to make any political comment, but those who want to understand why we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world as taught in the Holy Bible can go to http://mormon.org/jesus-christ/
