More Apple Dapple!
Today we ventured to Reed Valley Orchard in Paris, KY. It has easily become our favorite apple orchard. We got there just before closing time, so we didn't have a lot of time. We were able to grab a couple bags of fugi apples though. Mmmmm, delicious! Matt has already made a delicious apple crisp!!

Mr. Roboto!
Today Ethan brought home a letter congratulating him on being accepted to the RSMS (Royal Springs Middle School) VEX Robotics Team. He is very excited. He had to apply for this and actually turned the application in a day past the deadline. He thought for sure his dreams of being on this team were ruined! I am so happy that he was able to make the team. Watch for the adventures that I am sure we will have because of this!

Picture Perfect Kentucky
This is a common scene in Kentucky. A tobacco barn with a barn quilt on the exterior. Can you see the tobacco hanging inside?
Apple Pickin' Fun
Today we ran over to some friends house to pick some apples. The kids had a fun time climbing the apple tree. I didn't enjoy holding the ladder. It is a miracle we left with no broken bones.
Now to make the pies . . .

We are hard to beat when in 4th grade
Today during an assembly they announced the winner of the Kentucky Kids Day T-Shirt design contest. This is the contest 2 years ago that Ethan won. He was in 4th grade. This year Ashton is in 4th grade . . .
Ideas for upcoming General Conference
I will be posting again for Latter-day Chatter . . .
Here she has several blogs linked up to her site. There are many wonderful ideas you can do to keep your children entertained, which is always a challenge (at least for us)!

The Entries!
Today Brinley, Ryan and Ashton worked hard on their Kentucky Kids Day T-Shirt Design Contest entries. This year's theme is Go For the Gold at Eastern Elementary.
The first step in the process is for each class to vote on the entries for their class. Brinley and Ashton won in their class, Ryan did not. :(
The next step is for the class winners to be voted on before the entire school. Each student gets to vote for their favorite picture. The kids do not know who drew the entries, what grade they are from, etc. I think all the kids did a superb job!!

Brinley's Surgery
Today Brinley had her tonsils and adnoids removed. She was a little bit nervous. She asked if she was going to die. Poor girl!!
We (Me, Brin and Ethan) got to the hospital at 7am. I was super glad Ethan tagged along to keep me company. He was very concerned and was so happy when it was time to see her after surgery.
