Oh My!

So this past Sunday I received an email from our Bishop prior to church.  It was a forwarded message from our Stake President.  It wanted to let us know about a "special meeting" our Stake was having in lieu of regular Sunday meetings on February 6th.    We were also told that a General Authority from Salt Lake City would be present.  Oh, how exciting!!!

There has been quite a bit of chatter regarding what the "special meeting" may be about.  Is our Ward going to be split?  Are they going to re-align the Stake boundaries? . . .

Then on Monday, Matt got the (dreaded) call from the Stake Executive Secretary to ask if he could offer the Opening Prayer at the "special meeting".  Thank heavens they know that I would PASS OUT FLAT if they asked me!!  Of course, Matt said YES!

So this brings us to about 5 minutes ago when I received yet another email from our Bishop.  It was again, a forwarded message from our Stake President.  It was just letting us know that David A. Bednar will be presiding.

Poor Matt!

Hey Mom . . .

This is a snipp it of my conversation with Ashton this morning

Ash:  Hey Mom.  Was Brigham Young good?

Mom:  Yes???

Ash:  He was the QB for Utah.

Mom:  Call Dad and talk to him about this.  (chuckle, chuckle)

Ethan:  I thought Brigham Young was a prophet

Mom:  Ethan, shhhhhh!

Ashton:  I'm going to go add Brigham Young on my xbox for the Utes.

Ahhhhh . . . never, ever a dull moment here!!

Snowfall Magic!

Today we decided to drive between Georgetown and Frankfort to see the pretty snowfall.

What a View!

Today Ryan, Brinley and I decided to go for a quick ride around Georgetown and take a few random photos.  We live near some beautiful scenery that I thought would be fun for Ryan to photograph.  Most of these pictures were taken by Ryan.

And the Winner is . . .

Today we received notification that 3 of Ryan's 4 photographs from the Reflections contest were declared winners!!!  The single American Flag photo was the only non-winner.  Now the 3 winning photos go on to divisionals.  Way to go Ryan!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks our 13th wedding anniversary.  Woot Woot!

Once I can figure out where I put my Wedding Pictures, I will post!

Birthday Fun!

Today we celebrated Ashton's 8th Birthday.  He really wanted a Vikings Cake for the big day which we accomplished.  Lots of thanks to Aunt Sondra for the training!!!  He also wanted a Vikings jersey for his birthday but Uncle Luke and Sondra surprised him with the entire uniform!!!  I think he had a fabulous day!!
