More Funnies from "The Ashman!"

Today after I picked up Ashton from the bus stop we started chatting. This is how it went.

Ashton: Mom, do you know what I am going to buy when I have $500 bucks?

Me: Hmmm . . . a laptop? (he always says that)

Ashton: Nope, I am going to buy 490 people of Star Wars.

Me: Are there 490 different "people of Star Wars?"

Ashton: Yep!

So there you have it! I wonder if by the time Ashton has $500 the stores will still be selling Star Wars merchandise?

Tonight when the boys were supposed to be sleeping, I heard quite a bit of commotion in their room. Ya, I know, Surprise, Surprise! Anyway, I went in their room and Ashton had a book in his hands. Another Surprise. I told Ashton to hand over the book. He said, "Mom, I want to sleep with it because I like the Chinese Castle on the cover!"

Hard at Work? Or Hardly Working?

Today Matt had to go into work so he let Ethan go along for the ride. I guess they just goof off at work????

And the Winner is . . . .

Today Ethan was awarded with the Paw Power Award - Outstanding Student. The PTA had all the teachers pick a boy and girl who were "Outstanding" for the first nine weeks of school. Ethan and his friend Emily were the winners of his class. Congratulations Ethan! He also received a coupon for a free cheese pizza from Domino's Pizza. That is what he is most excited about!

Every morning Ryan asks me what he can wear. Long arms? or shorts? Today I told him "long sleeves, long pants". So after he got himself dressed, he came and paid me a visit. Here is the dialogue

Mom: "Ryan, you don't need a beater on, you will be too hot."
Ryan: "Mom, I not have anything on."
Mom: "Ah, you don't?"
Ryan: "Nope!"
Mom: "Ryan, I can see it."


After a fight and a half, I was able to get a few photos! Who taught him how to get dressed anyway? Enjoy!

I just returned from the Doctor. I have strep throat. Boo Hoo!

Today we ventured out to Frankfort, KY (the Capital) to get haircuts and hit a bucket of balls. Matt has really gotten into doing this lately. On our last visit to St. Louis, Matt brought home a bunch of my Dad's golf clubs. He has been having fun trying them all out. Ethan and Ashton have really enjoyed going to the driving range too.
