More Play Time
Following the Reflections reception, we ventured north to Florence, KY.
We stumbled upon a little park where we set up our baseball goods. Once again, Ashton was ticked it wasn't a formal baseball diamond. After a while, he realized that baseball can be fun ANYWHERE, like even in the middle of a soccer field.
Here are pictures of the kids on the playground - where Ashton was being "Ashton". haha

Reflections Reception
Today we headed to the Lexington Lyric Theater for the PTA Reflections 2012 Student Recognition Award Ceremony.
Ryan was recognized for winning at the State Level for his photography entry.
The reception was nice and low key. They had light refreshments, a magician doing balloon animals (the highlight of the event for ALL my children), and a small program. They had the winning entries on display for all to see. It was a nice time.

Every Six Months!!
Today I found our first hand why you should go visit a dentist every six months instead of every six YEARS. . . . . 5 hours of dental work later, I was finally outta there!!!
Luckily (if you can even use that word in a post about dental work) I was able to get all my work done at the University of Kentucky Dental School where you can get it done at a fraction of the price and about twice the time!! haha. It was a GREAT experience. Really! The dental student is in our ward and he did an over-the-top fabulous job. This is the 2nd time I used the UK Dental Clinic - the 1st time was AWESOME too! I think that since my first experience was such a positive one (thank you Ryan Smith!!!) I felt comfortable going back this year. I have a little bit left to do, but I will have that part done next week.
After my appointment, Matt and the kids picked me up and we headed to the closest park we could find. We couldn't waste such a beautiful weather day. So Masterson Station Park it was! After there for just a short time a fun family from our ward showed up. The kids had a super dooper time playing with other kids. I had a fun time being able to socialize with another adult! What a great way to spend a friday night!
Here are a few pictures . . . oh and Ashton wasn't too happy to begin with, but quickly changed his tune!

| This was Ashton when we arrived. Typical Ashton!! Lil Stink! He was disappointed we picked a park with no baseball field. |

| You know I am not an animal fan. Not even close. However, I thought this dog was the coolest animal I'd ever seen. If I HAD to have a pet, it would be a nifty dog like this!! |

All done with Preschool!
Today was preschool graduation for Brinley. It was a sad occasion considering we have had children at this preschool center since 2006 - the year we moved to Georgetown. It has been an incredible place for our children to grow and learn. Ethan is our only child who didn't attend this school. I have helped with numerous parties over the years, worked picture days, fall festivals, and book fairs. It will be weird to not have a child at the center next year.
During Brinley's time at this preschool she has had 3 teachers. She started with Mrs. Luxmore, switched to Mrs. Tierney and finished off with Mrs. Green. We have loved each one of them. Hopefully I can swing a substitute teacher job there in the Fall so I can keep in touch with this fabulous group of people.
Here are some pictures of today's event.
Here are a few videos of today's event as well. The first video is part of their program, the second is Brinley receiving her diploma.

Fun in Indiana
Today Matt called me at about 4:30pm while I was at the doctor with all four kids to let me know we were going with him within the hour to Evansville, IN. He had some things he needed to deliver to the Toyota offices in Princeton, IN just north of Evansville. The kids were pumped to go on this last minute trip to a hotel with a pool.
After a quick stop in New Albany, IN (just west of Louisville) for dinner that was totally disgusting, we made our way to the hotel. It was a super nice hotel with a really great pool. The kids couldn't believe that we let them START swimming at about 9:30pm (which is 10:30pm KY time). They had a blast and of course made a new friend.
Here are some of the pictures from the pool. I have a few more I need to get off my phone. They will come, eventually!
